About DataCamp and the role

DataCamp is building the future of data science education. Our students get real hands-on experience by completing self-paced, interactive data science courses from the best instructors in the world, right in the browser. In fact, more than 2 million students around the world have completed over 90 million DataCamp exercises to date.

In the last 6 months, we have been moving our applications from a variety of cloud providers in a plethora of configurations to a managed container orchestration platform with a highly automated CI/CD pipeline based on CircleCI. This allows developers to ship what they build, which increase speed and ownership. Through good documentation and incrementally improving and adding deploying, updating, monitoring and self-healing features to the toolchain, we want to continue to enhance developer productivity, scalability, availability and security.

Currently, DataCamp's CTO is leading the infrastructure engineering efforts on a part-time basis, but we need somebody to dedicate to this full time. As an infrastructure engineering lead, you will work closely together with your team of infrastructure engineers, other application engineering teams, data engineers, and data scientists to build and maintain the infrastructure required for our ever expanding user base and team. You will actively take the lead in mapping out the vision for infrastructure at DatCamp, assessing priorities, planning out your work and hiring additional team members. You will be challenged as a programmer, as a systems designer, and as a manager of highly skilled professionals.
