About DataCamp and the role

DataCamp is building the future of data science education. Our students get real hands-on experience by completing self-paced, interactive data science courses from the best instructors in the world, right in the browser. In fact, more than 1.5 million students around the world have completed over 50 million DataCamp exercises to date. In the last 12 months, we have been moving our applications to a container orchestration platform, and have been building out a data pipeline to facilitate data-drivenness for all our teams.

You will be responsible for further building out DataCamp’s Infrastructure and Data Engineering team. This means managing and improving our infrastructure, but also extending our distributed data pipeline. You will be hiring additional team members to make our developers productive, our stack scalable, secure and performant, and our employees more data-driven. You will be challenged both from a coding and systems design perspective, as well as from a people management, planning, and vision perspective.

You will work closely together with your own team, application engineers, data scientists, and senior management to build and maintain an infrastructure and data architecture required for our ever expanding user base and team. You will actively take the lead in assessing priorities, and planning out your work. If you are successful, you will further enable and shape DataCamp's growth.
