Tell a better data story
In this competition, take on the role of an aspiring data sorcerer and use the magical AI assistant to craft a more enchanting visualization that reveals the distribution of magical creatures across Numeria's kingdoms.
๐ Once upon a time...
Valuable data about mystical creatures inhabiting the kingdoms of Numeria was gathered in the enchanted land of Numeria. Dragons, unicorns, fairies, goblins, elves, and trolls lived in places like the Enchanted Forest, Mystic Mountains, and Whispering Woods.
However, the chart in the Great Hall failed to clearly show how these creatures were distributed. A cryptic visualization lost important insights...

Familiarize yourself with the magical data of Numeria. The dataset contains:
- Kingdom: The name of the kingdom where the creatures reside
- CreatureType: The type of mystical creature (e.g., Dragon, Unicorn)
- Number_of_Creatures: The total number of that creature type in the kingdom
display(data.head(10))import pandas as pd
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
# Assuming your data is already loaded into a variable called 'data'
display(data) # Preview the first 10 rows of the dataset
# Pivot the dataset to get the data in a format suitable for a stacked bar chart
pivot_df = data.pivot_table(index='Kingdom', columns='CreatureType', values='Number_of_Creatures', aggfunc='sum').fillna(0)
# Plotting
fig, ax = plt.subplots(figsize=(10, 6))
# Plot each creature type as part of the stacked bar chart

The Mystical Creatures of Numeria ๐ฒ๐๐ฆโจ
In the enchanted land of Numeria, magic flowed through every tree, mountain, and river. The land was divided into kingdoms, each filled with mythical creatures that made Numeria their home.The Enchanted Forest was the heart of Numeria, a vibrant woodland where magic grew thick in the air. It was the kingdom with the highest diversity of creatures:
Fairies ruled the skies, their shimmering wings lighting up the ancient trees. With 40 fairies, they were the most common creature, gracefully tending to the forest.
Elves, wise and skilled in forest lore, numbered 25, and they acted as guardians of the mystical plants and animals.
Unicorns, symbols of purity, pranced through the clearings, 20 in total, their horns glowing in the moonlight.
Goblins lurked in the shadows with 10 mischievous creatures, always stirring trouble but maintaining balance in their own way.
Trolls too made the forest their home, with 15 of them guarding ancient bridges and stone paths.
Even Dragons, although rare, could be found here, with 5 ancient ones soaring above the trees.
To the north lay the Mystic Mountains, a land of rugged terrain and harsh winds. Life was harder here, but several creatures still thrived in this challenging kingdom:
Dragons, more abundant here than anywhere else, numbered 15 and soared through the craggy peaks, breathing fire and protecting ancient treasures.
Goblins, tough and scrappy, thrived here as well, with 20 of them making their homes in the dark mountain caves.
Fairies were fewer, with only 10, but they brought light to the more hidden corners of the mountains.
Unicorns, though magical, were rare in this harsh environment, and only 5 wandered the meadows at the foot of the mountains.
As we explore the mystical data, it becomes clear that the Enchanted Forest is home to the greatest variety of magical creatures, with fairies and elves being the most numerous. On the other hand, the Mystic Mountains are dominated by the mighty dragons and clever goblins, with a harsher environment allowing fewer creatures to thrive.
