In this Power BI project, we will be exploring a dataset for a fictitious software company called Atlas Labs. This projects focuses on practicing to import, analyze and visualize Human Resources data in Power BI. In particular, the organization is looking to understand the attrition at the company.

We’ll carry out exploratory data analysis and will use DAX to help build powerful visualizations. We’ll finish your analysis by diving deeper into attrition and what factors impact attrition. This analysis will help the organization determine what action they will need to take to retain more employees.

In this first page, the leadership team will be shown the high-level metrics about the state of the employees from 2012 - 2022 including:

  • Total Employees: 1 470
  • Active Employees: 1 233
  • Inactive Employees: 237
  • Attrition Rate: 16.1%

Moreover, this will enable them to be able to benchmark their HR metrics against organizations across their industry as well as understand how their employees are performing.
