Exploring Air Force Personnel Data with Python

Exploring data—manipulating, calculating, and visualizing it—is an important data analysis skill. In this live training aimed at novice Python users, we'll use DataCamp Workspace to analyze a US Department of Defense personnel dataset. You'll learn how to quickly answer questions about data using the popular pandas and plotly packages.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to:

  • Import data from a CSV file.
  • Calculate summary statistics using pandas.
  • Draw bar plots and line plots using plotly.

What should I prepare?

We will be using DataCamp Workspace. Other than a DataCamp account, you don’t need anything. If you are part of specific enterprise groups, you may not yet be able to use DataCamp Workspace. You can create a free DataCamp account with their personal email address to follow along.

Who should attend?

We recommend that you have taken the following course before attending:

  • Intermediate Python
  • Data Manipulation with pandas
