Data Scientist / Data Analyst / Data Engineer

IIEG is a government institution focused on the analysis of economic and financial data from Jalisco. Key Responsibilities: -Developed automated scripts to extract, clean, transform, analyze, and visualize data pertaining to various economic indicators including inflation, employment, exports, fuel prices, and poverty rates in Jalisco. -Programmed a web bot to efficiently extract information from the INEGI website. -Conducted web scraping of agricultural data from federal government web pages. -Applied regular expressions to clean real estate sales and rental databases. -Designed and implemented a dashboard to display historical economic data spanning over a century. -Authored a script for generating automated reports on economic indicators for each city in Jalisco. Technologies and Tools: Proficient in Python, R, Git, SQL, Tableau, and Excel. Skilled in utilizing Python modules including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, re, Selenium, and Scrapy. Experienced in R libraries such as Dplyr, Stringr, Officer, ggplot2, ggplotly, RSelenium, rvest, and tidyverse.
