Junior Data Analyst

Key responsibilties: Collecting data from multiple sources Sorting data into useable formats Cleaning raw data Manipulating data using SQL and spreadsheets Presenting data in clear visualisations As a junior data analyst at The Curious Lounge, I have expanded upon my existing skills in spreadsheets to include working with databases and data visualisation software. I am confident working within Excel and Google Sheets to manipulate data in pivot tables and to produce simple dashboards. I have learned to utilise SQL to interact with databases and filter pertinent data from them. I have also developed skills in Tableau to create strong visualisations to present data to others in a clear and impactful way. Key responsibilities: Managing the shop floor and team Driving and monitoring store KPIs Product knowledge and training Resolving customer issues Visual merchandising Rota production and payroll prediction Starting in the Harrow store in July 2015 as a sales consultant whilst at university and transferring to the Reading store in 2016, I quickly progressed to become a keyholder and then to the team leader position by 2017. In 2018, I was promoted to Assistant Manager and became more involved with the running of the store. I have recently been promoted to a deputy store manager position as the store manager has taken on a second store and I have undertaken additional responsibilities. I have been a key part of recruitment, performance management and coaching in the store. I am also responsible for Health and Safety processes including risk assessments and have been praised for the thoroughness and consistency of my work in this area by our internal auditors. My role also includes liaising with other stores and colleagues across the business to resolve customer queries and implement directives from the regional manager and Head Office departments.
