R&D ANALYST

Conducted market research on available devices and patents to address food wastage problems, including the analysis of the shelf life, commodity season variations, diseases, volatiles released, and damage conditions of various commodities. Collaborated with other teams to develop solutions using in-house built devices and industry parameters such as light, gas sensors, bio-impedance, and more. Conducted experiments, collected and pre-analyzed data, and worked closely with data science teams to build and test prediction models. Along with above responsibilities, as a team leader trained and monitored in-house and on-site team members and collaborated with cross-functional teams to meet client demands. Provided device demos and worked at client locations as needed.

Research And Development Intern

Conducted thorough market research to identify food waste problems at the warehouse level. Planned and executed experiments to gain a better understanding of various fruits and their properties, including seasonal changes and was also responsible for developing and maintaining a clean data set along with performing pre-analysis on the collected data.

Research Intern

Conducted a master's dissertation project under the guidance of Dr. Shannon Olsson, with a focus on studying the communication methods of Indian stingless bees (Tetragonula sp.) that usually involve dance patterns. Conducted an experiment in which stingless bees were trained to a feeder and their markings were recorded by changing the distance of the feeder. Analyzed the markings using GC-MS and identified several compounds. Concluded that stingless bees may communicate differently from their conventional counterparts, based on the findings of the study.
