Senior Analyst

I led DI's research and analysis around nutrition and its financing, including for the Global Nutrition Report which highlights progress in combating malnutrition, identifies gaps and propose ways to fill them. I also managed DI's data on climate finance which is used across multiple grant and consultancy projects. Responsible for designing and delivering variety of research products for external clients and internal grant-funded research programmes. Translating quantitative and qualitative evidence into actionable information for key partners and audiences, using database resources such as the OECD DAC Creditor Reporting System, International Aid Transparency Initiative and UN OCHA’s Financial Tracking Service. Also responsible for engaging with research and policy audiences to communicate data findings, exhibit Development Initiatives’ work and connect with other researchers and various decision-makers. The Global Nutrition Report is the world’s foremost account on the status of malnutrition around the world. Each year, it acts as a stock take on the world’s nutrition – globally, regionally, and country by country – and on efforts to improve it. It tracks progress on global nutrition targets, ranging from diet- related non-communicable diseases to maternal, infant and young child nutrition. - Coordinated a multi-partner team of academics, data analysts, data scientists to produce robust research and analysis of global malnutrition - Managed and quality-assured all data content, including collection, analysis, and visualisation - Produced high-quality data analysis and narrative for major report - Developed a globally-recognised framework for tracking and assessing progress toward nutrition commitments - Designed an interactive data platform for exploring the latest data on nutrition at global, regional, and country level - Maintained productive and amicable partnerships with funders, academic institutions, and global health authorities
