My Work Experience

Where I've interned and worked during my career.

NXP Semiconductors | Oct 2017 - Present

GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER | DATA SCIENTIST

✔Led a team of 5 Industrial Engineers to create a methodology to define throughput modeling across global NXP fabs representing 60% of the tools. Launched success metrics, including utilization rate and committed availability to prevent overloading of a toolset. Implemented over 5 key controls preventing delivery delays. ✔Analyzed Fab Lot data using ops-curve theory to identify high contributor toolsets to cycle time. Created reporting to provide detailed metrics including availability, restriction, process time variation, and impacts. This resulted in reduced delivery time by more than 20%.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

✔Created models using equipment tools events to optimize throughput on Etch equipment. Analyzed data using existing databases to understand wafer movement through the tool. Created a control system that proactively alerted engineers when the tool is underperforming preventing over $500 K annually in future losses. The results also enabled redeployment of chamber processes across other equipment that minimized losses equating to over $500K annually. ✔Created reports using big data that identified gaps between expected vs real tool utilization. Detects a disabled module, and changes in tool setup speed. Measures throughput impacts, and expedites time to install changes that return to expected cycle times. This resulted in an approximate 2% improved utilization per tool translating to $6 MM in savings annually. ✔Led the automation of the photo area modeling across fabs that decreased model validation from 7 days to 1 hour. Benchmarked and mapped tools events obtained through Ingenio and SECS/GEM interfaces. Enabled a better understanding of how the wafer is moving in the tool and the key components to the process time. Used big data to identify losses, and provided ways to monitor. ✔Analyzed big data and assessed the performance of the automated transportation system. Identified areas of improvement including long- term storage and number of cars in the system. Partnered with equipment engineers to provide the data to measure improvements in travel time. Resulted in reducing employee costs by 160 K annually, and improved capacity by over 20%.

Freescale Semiconductor | Sep 2001 - Oct 2013

PROCESS ENGINEER | NEW SILICON/SUBSTRATE PROJECT MANAGER

causing potential yields issues end of the line. Partnered with Global Procurement and vendors to implement an electronic Certificate of Analysis. Statistical Process Control with control limits was implemented to prevent wafer quality issues. ✔Implemented quality measurements that recorded particle level on Test Wafers to improve utilization. Automated cost reporting using Excel macros to provide monthly cost reports for CHD fab. ✔Enhanced model charts that provided yield losses by using Principal Component analysis to flag parameters that exceeded zone thresholds. Automated tool parameters adjustments that corrected proper zone. This prevented end-of-line issues, improving yield and reducing scrap.
