Process Specialist - Continuous Improvement

● Established and managed the Continuous Improvement Management System of Global Procurement, facilitating how opportunities are discovered and translated to tangible projects. Despite being in the initial stage, this served as the backbone to manage Continuous Improvement initiatives for Global Procurement. Tasks to support the system included managing both internal and external stakeholders, driving process streamlining efforts, upskilling the organization (500+ personnel in Procurement) with the requisite CI mindset, tools, and skills. As of Q2 2023, around 60 opportunities were logged and managed to improve the different facets of the processes we manage. ● Oversight of the whole process landscape for Global Procurement, wherein opportunities for improvement would come in depending on the business need. Collaborating with different stakeholders across the globe was a norm to rectify issues and improve on the current processes of Vestas Global Procurement. This also includes cross-functional processes where Procurement was also involved, both upstream and downstream.

Philippine Geothermal Production Company, Inc. (PGPC) | Nov 2013 - Aug 2020

Planning Specialist / Decision Analyst

● Developed, maintained, and ran financial models for major growth opportunities in PGPC ($500MM++) as a specialist under the Business Development & Planning department. Ensured that both the models’ logic and inputs are sound and updated to assist in decision-making, which requires significant investment for the company. In line with this, I also audit colleagues’ respective models and conduct and participate in regular model reviews, ensuring sufficient quality in the models that are conceptualized. Frequent stakeholder consultation was done to improve robustness of both the model and the data that was utilized. ● Handled the Production Monitoring and Forecasting of PGPC's operations under the Planning & Valuation (P&V) Department. I did generation analysis and forecasts which fed into the annual planning cycle, which is essential to the Annual Business Plan. The developed information cascaded to tactical planning, which dictated the direction of operations and project prioritization. ● A lead subject matter expert on Decision Analysis (DA) in PGPC. Decision analysis (DA) is the discipline comprising the philosophy, theory, methodology, and professional practice necessary to address important decisions in a formal manner. I provided DA assistance to majority of the capital projects of PGPC, maturing them through the different Phases, specifically Phases 1-3: from developing the frame of the project, developing the alternatives, and maturing a selected alternative. I handled the maturation of decision quality of several capital projects of PGPC ($1MM++). Viability checks through rigorous probabilistic economic analyses is one of the major tasks as Decision Analyst. I also propagate the concept of Decision Quality throughout the company by providing requisite training and mentoring to target individuals in the organization. ● A subject matter expert in Cost Management, tasked with handling the cost management initiative built upon the fundamentals of Lean Sigma, guiding PGPC to improve their current system to an optimal future-state. I am the only (pending) Black Belt Six Sigma practitioner in PGPC. ● Project lead team member in pioneering the Project Management System (PMSys) for PGPC, establishing the process used by the whole organization to handle projects of different magnitude and complexity. I am the subject matter expert on the first three phases of the Project Development and Execution Process (PDEP). We are currently working on developing the components of PMSys.

Business Process Analyst

● Pilot Group Member handling the Process Mapping Initiative for Leyte Geothermal Business Unit (LGBU), tasked on guiding the core team and other proponents to standardize EDC processes through business process mapping. The scope of the project entails all processes of LGBU, focusing on its steady-state operations. ● Internal Auditor for ISO:14001: EMS. Audited several proponents in the Mt. Apo Geothermal Project (MAGP) site (e.g. Supply Chain Department, Power Generation Sector, Watershed Management Department). Managed a commanding ~30% of Correction and Preventive Action Requests (CPARs) conducted from the Internal Audit (2012) commenced in the MAGP site, from reviewing the CPARs to verifying corrective and preventive actions carried out by the different proponents. ● Project Manager for ISO 14001: EMS Training, Competency and Awareness in Mt. Apo Geothermal Business Unit (MAGBU) (~300 employees) ● Inventory Management Core Team Member, part of the team that analyzed the problem of ballooning inventory owned by EDC, resulting in a total inventory cost avoidance amounting to Php152MM as of July 2012, and decreasing total inventory of EDC by 10%. Gaps were identified and were addressed to be undertaken in the second phase of the project. As-is documentation was conducted, which fed into the recommendation of a To-be process map that became the basis for overhauling the system. ● Conducted process mapping for EDC, equivalent to mapping out 20-30% of EDC’s processes. ● Crafted and implemented the RACI of the Drilling Operations, one of the core processes of EDC.

● National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC): Conducted a successful seminar regarding work/performance measurement and standardization for Regional Head Managers in NWPC. ● Brown Madonna Press Inc. (BMPI): Did consultancy work to fix the system for Newspaper Printing in BMPI. Methodology of improving the system came about through selected application of lean management and work/performance measurement and improvement. Developed standards to improve overall efficiency of printing section, produced a benefit scheme for workers, implemented 5S in the workplace, reduced printing process time and paper wastage. Also assisted in introducing quality and kaizen circles among workers to improve and address areas of concern especially with waste. ● Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC): Organized local and satellite claim systems by using simulation to depict current performance of the system. Specific benefits of project brought about improved efficiency, standardization of tasks, and documentation of the system involved.
