Director of Professional and Public Programs

In November, 2018, I accepted a position with the University of San Diego as their Director of Professional and Public Programs leading the Professional and Continuing Education initiatives in business, education, and other public programs providing oversight and direction for new course and program development, student recruitment, and fiscal management. Professional and continuing education programs for business and K-12 education forms the core portfolio for these areas. I also provide strategic direction and project management for program expansion of PCE’s continuing education and professional programs and am responsible for the administrative, logistical, marketing, student and instructor retention, and compliance requirements needed to support programs that serve continuing education participants. I also manage human, financial, and physical resources, and develop procedures and processes to attain enrollment and budget goals and implementing policies and programs that impact all of PCE’s continuing education activities.

In February, 2018, I was fortunate to be hired on at Arizona State University as their Manager of Student and Academic Services in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. In this role, I am responsible for managing unit-wide academic advising, retention, recruitment, outreach, and student support services, functions and activities including the development and implementation of operational strategies. I also work closely with the school's directorate and leadership team to coordinate functionality across units within the school, administering services and a set of programs that provide support to the mission of the school and the school's faculty, staff, and students.

In 2014, I was promoted to Executive Dean for the College of Education, where I owned the College’s growth strategies, profit and loss (P&L) management, student satisfaction and retention, competitive marketing strategy, academic standards and programming, curriculum and assessment, and regulation and accreditation. I was also accountable for the P&L of the College and driving student retention through graduation. I addition, I was responsible for operations, academic oversight, student and faculty experience, and strategic collaboration with all internal stakeholders of the College, as well as for enhancing the College's external marketing and recognition, in order to distinguish the program from those of competitors.
