Data Engineer

- Design and build end-to-end data pipelines by collecting and scraping data from external data sources using Python, AWS and Snowflake to develop ETL/ ELT processes and data models, and Docker, Kubernetes and Gitlab CI/CD for continuous deployment. - Utilize Snowflake and AWS to store and manage large datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency throughout the pipeline. - Build automated workflows using Airflow, Gitlab CI/CD, and Kafka to streamline data collection and processing, reducing manual intervention and increasing pipeline efficiency. - Use Flyway to manage database schema migrations and version control, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data across different environments. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business analysts, to understand their data needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements. - Develop and maintain documentation and monitoring tools using Datadog to ensure the scalability and sustainability of data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime. - Build APIs using Python to provide easy access to the data for stakeholders, and utilize PowerBI to create data visualizations that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, evaluating and implementing new tools and techniques to improve pipeline performance and reliability.

Data Science / Machine Learning Intern

Worked at TomTom Artificial Intelligence for GeoSpatial Research (TAIGR) team. Projects/Tasks: 1- Full-stack, designed and developed an application for manipulating a huge amount of probe data. Front-end using Javascript (D3JS) & Back-end using Java. 2- Vehicle Type Detection Using GPS Data. I collected GPS data from data sources, cleaned, manipulated, transformed them. I developed a pipeline for features generation. I built a Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier that managed to classify trucks correctly with high accuracy.
