Schnellecke Logistics Services Based at Ford Motor Company of South Africa Planning Department July 2010 – September 2013 Responsibilities: 2013 – 2013: Business Unit Planner  Head of Engineering Department.  Supervisor of Engineering Change department / new product launch.  Designing of JIT supply strategies.  Designing manpower model and report / Manpower forecasting of entire operation.  Ensuring cost reduction through leading continues improvement objectives.  Project management of lean manufacturing to reduce handling steps in value stream.  Ensure quality systems are in place for process and system standardization. 2012 – 2013: Stand-in Planning Supervisor  Define planned manpower for all operational activities, ensuring manpower alignment with approved costings.  Responsible for all quotations, resource analysis and providing specifications to the costing department.  Prepare resource tracking of all planning engineers to determine whether the department can cope with new projects or require additional support.  Prepare an overall long-term project plan to ensure customer expectations are realized.  Responsible for all time studies, layouts, process flows and man assignments.  Creating smart calculation tools by using BOM master data. 2011 – 2012: Senior Industrial Engineer  Determine manpower and equipment requirements.  CIP Projects including Cost savings.  Project timing plans and implementations for launch of the new Ford Ranger.  In-depth problem solving.  Plan material flow for all parts by creating a PFEP database. (plan for every part)  Ensuring workable solutions for all phases of the launch TT, PP and SOP.  Co-ordinate cross functional teams to identify process risks. 2010 – 2011: Industrial Engineer  Develop Project plans.  Design Facilities for material handling.  Implement approved projects.  Documents process flow maps.  Define and document process activities.  Preparation of operating instruction sheets to document step by step activities within the process.  Warehouse space calculations to determine requirements for new model launch.  Layout design using Auto-Cad.
