CVS Pharmacy | Dec 2019 - May 2022

Pharmacy Technician

As a certified pharmacy technician, I supported the pharmacist by handling tasks such as filling, typing, sorting, and verifying prescriptions. I also participated in cycle counts to ensure the pharmacy maintained accurate drug inventory. When issues arose with insurance, refills, or prescribers, I addressed them directly, escalating to the pharmacist only if my colleagues and I were unable to resolve the problem. I was knowledgeable about healthcare laws and prescription regulations. Additionally, due to the pandemic, I received training in patient immunization and administered COVID-19 vaccines to both adults and children.

Wildlands Conservation | May 2019 - May 2022

Intern

I have conducted countless hours of fieldwork with native Florida herps with Wildlands. This includes learning how to humanely handle snakes (venomous and non-venomous), frogs, toads, skinks, lizards, so on and so forth for our many different types of animal surveys. Similarly, at my internship, in addition to field work I have assisted in numerous data analysis aspects of our research and aided in the construction of local field guides, grant proposals, lectures, and education projects across Hillsborough county.
