New York County District Attorney's Office | Aug 2021 - Present

Research and Policy Analyst

- Created interactive dashboards that present analytic trends in the agency's charging practice at all stages of the criminal legal system. - Developed spatial visualizations showing where the concentration of Manhattan arrests occur. - Responded to Freedom of Information Law data requests from state politicians, city officials, journalists, and members of the public, on issues including human trafficking, drug crime, and officer-involved Brady-Giglio disclosures. - Managed office-wide compliance reporting for a $2 million state grant dedicated to the prosecutions of the most serious and violent felony crimes in Manhattan.

Atheists, Humanists, and Agnostics is the largest secular group in Madison. - The Outreach Chair (April to October 2018) maintained relationships with other student organizations on campus and for talking to media. - The Treasurer (October 2018 to November 2019) creatively and effectively managed the $65,000 budget assigned to the organization from student segregated fees for programming, event planning, and outreach, to promote secularism on campus. - The Treasurer also oversaw payroll for eight staff members' salaries. - Both positions entailed co-leading weekly meetings focused on topics including gender, racism, philosophy of death, and other issues impacting the secular community.

General Counsel - Student Judiciary

Assisted and represented parties to case hearings, wrote briefs, and reported at the weekly judiciary business meeting. Managed a standard operating procedure consistent with the university’s Code of Conduct for cases of many kinds, including matters of viewpoint neutrality, discipline within a Registered Student Organization, election complaints, and other issues concerning social justice.

Summer Peer Advisor

- Navigated freshmen and transfer students undecided about their academic major and/or their careers by discussing their course choices and campus resources at the Cross College Advising Service during summer orientation. - Reviewed academic backgrounds and future career options of 10 to 15 students daily, and supported the logistics of the orientation program. - Performed a variety of organizational tasks, provided model student behavior, and empowered independent thinking and responsible learning.
