Design Drafter IV

Primary responsibilities include electromechanical design work, as well as processing and managing workflow of change requests and change orders for drafting groups. Assumed management of workflow of team members when needed. Also took the initiative to set up data collection and tracking on Engineering Change Order workflow and created Power BI dashboards to help management drive business decisions and keep projects on schedule.

Internship: January 4th – April 29th 2016 I really enjoyed my time working at TBA Architects. I worked on a variety of project types and preformed a number of activities. TBA Architects introduced me to a wide range of the construction and architecture process and had me working on projects and tasks wherever they needed my help. The majority of my work was centered in drawing in Vectorworks, but I also aided in a few site visits, site measurements, existing condition analyses, and every so often I had the opportunity to input my ideas for design or reconfiguration. Some activities I preformed included: • Site documentation and measuring • Drawing in Vectorworks • Creating existing condition drawings • Creating schematic design drawings • Creating bid set drawings • Revising and editing drawings • Product research and cost estimates • Code research • Project submittal work All work I did was reviewed by the project architect. Some of the project types I worked on included: • Schools • Housing Authorities • Private residences • Existing Conditions Reports • New Construction • Renovation Software Used: • Vectorworks • Microsoft Office • Adobe Creative suite
