My Work Experience

Where I've interned and worked during my career.

TUM | Oct 2019 - Present

PHD Candidate

Supervisor: Prof. Andreas Pichlmair -Studying protein turnover in cytokine-stimulated cells via pulse-chase SILAC mass spectrometry method. -Working on several COVID-19 related projects including the study of virus protein interactome, infection proteome, PTM modification by the virus and potential treatment development (with publications).

Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München | Jan 2019 - Aug 2019

Master Thesis Student

Supervisor: Prof. Anne Krug -Investigated the role of dendritic cells in response to the yellow fever vaccination. -Investigated the innate sensing pathway for yellow fever vaccine virus via RNA interference experiments.

Karolinska Institutet | Aug 2018 - Jan 2019

Research Intern

Supervisor: Prof. Roman Zubarev, direct supervisor: Dr Susanna Lundström -Investigated the link between Alzheimer’s disease (AD)-specific peptides and isoAspartate-specific antibodies in the serum of AD patients via protein pull- down assays and mass spectrometry -Analysed the potential of anti-isoAsp antibodies as an early biomarker for AD via SIMCA and R

Nobel NightCap | Oct 2017 - Jan 2018

Compartment Manager

-Made detailed serving plans and risk analysis for several compartment rooms -Supervised the construction work of the pub area -Worked as the group leader/supervisor of the pub and pub kitchen during the event, assigned tasks to the crew and made sure the plans were executed smoothly

ETH Zurich | Aug 2015 - Jul 2016

Research Intern

Supervisor: Prof. Manfred Kopf Project 1: Possible cell therapy for murine pulmonary alveolar proteinosis -Tested the cell-therapy for PAP by transferring in vitro cultured foetal liver cells (Max-Planck-Institute cells) and alveolar macrophages (AMs) via intratracheal instillation to adult AM-deficient mice (Csf2rα -/-). -Tested the possible way to prevent PAP by transferring AM to young Csf2rα -/- mice via intratracheal instillation. Project 2: The role of interferon-transduced transmembrane protein 3 (IFITM3) in viral defence -Characterised Ifitm3 expression in various immune cell types in naïve and influenza A virus(IAV) infected mice using Ifitm3-deficient mice with an EGFP knock-in (Ifitm3EGFP). -Investigated the phenotype of Ifitm3EGFP mice against IAV infections. -Investigated the possible function of Ifitm3 in the development of macrophages and dendritic cells via the culture of bone-marrow-derived macrophage (BMDM) and bone-marrow derived dendritic cell (BMDC).
