Actuarial Analyst (internship)

• Created predictive statistical models for insurance claims using R and Excel, which increased correct prediction capacity to 82.13%, raising accuracy by 4.6% above the previous model and improving strategic budgeting. • Analyzed 6 claims databases from 2 insurance companies to accurately calculate IBNR (incurred but not reported) reserves using the duration ladder methodology, resulting in a reduction of insufficient reserves.
