I was responsible for the daily news articles on the website of Flemish, monthly movie magazine Vertigo. The website serves up about a dozen items of movie news a day to an audience of roughly 15,000 daily active film enthusiasts.

I supported the Communications team with a broad set of tasks dealing with online (website, social media, newsletters, press releases ...) and print (posters, flyers, programs, ...) communication, both internal and external. I co-founded and coordinated an international non-profit dedicated to growing and supporting independent video game creation. Co-Curator and Co-Organizer Free To Play Expo (Screenshake Festival)

I co-organized and co-curated 'Free To Play', an annual, month-long festival focused on independent video game culture, featuring a permanent expo of several custom-built arcades with playable versions of the indie games we deemed relevant for a general audience, interactive installations and more. During the expo, we organized a game design workshop, documentary screenings, talks with renowned international speakers (such as Rami Ismail, Leigh Alexander and Auriea Harvey), an international developer showcase/ network event and a chiptune party. I also curated the art exhibit at Free To Play. The exhibit featured several game-inspired art pieces by a selection of national and international illustrators, from up-and-coming talents like Shamisa Debroey to established names like Jan Bosschaert and Liz Ryerson.

I curated a multimedia exhibition of 9 national as well as international independent games that were still under development at the time. Participants included renowned studios such as Die Gute Fabrik, Might & Delight and Spaces of Play. The expo was one of the test projects of Époque Gallery. This gallery, located in the heart of Antwerp at the Grand Plaza, is an initiative, by and for young artists, and has been made possible with support from the City of Antwerp and The Royal Academy for Fine Arts Antwerp.
