Patrons would be instructed on how to paddle a canoe, pack for extended stays in the wilderness, read whitewater, work as a team, and other technical skills related to expedition travel. In order to ensure the continuity of the program guides are responsible for the upkeep of the equipment and wilderness environment, acquiring all of the proper permits to enter the North Maine Woods, and ensuring that the guided party enjoyed a safe and educational trip.
