Chapter Lead - Data Liberation - Analytics Engineering - Manage the End to End data flow for DAP( Data Analytics Platform) - Connect the required data to DAP (Datalakes, Sources of Records, APIs, External etc.) - Manage the Ingestion Frameworks: Data Batching and Data Streaming, - Use Python, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Hive, Jupyter Notebook etc. to manipulate the data properly for standard ingestions, also for ad-hoc requests - Develop and maintain data strategies for different scenarios: migrations, historical reloads, back-ups, data updates - Enrich the tables with the specific metadata to support our Data Users - Monitor, debug, fix the data pipelines to keep the data up to date for ING initiatives

As a Data Pipeline Engineer, my daily responsibility is to extract, transform, load and monitor various ING data sources in Wholesale Banking Data Analytics Platform(DAP): - alignment with multiple ING departments to understand the content and define metadata standards - use multiple technologies to pre-process the data: Python, Spark, DataStage, Bash - create complex pipelines, in DAGs, to cover all the required steps for each source to be used in DAP, using Apache Airflow - use Apache Schema Registry to define avro structures - create Python monitoring solutions to automatize the manual checks - use Openshift to monitor the status for each Docker container - develop custom ingestion for ad-hoc requests, using Python and Spark, via Jupyter Notebook
