Teaching Assistant (PBHLTH 142)

Facilitated the day-to-day tasks of managing a 340+ undergraduate/ graduate student course, teaching visualization and data analytical skills in the R programming language for Biology and Public Health applications. My responsibilities included various logistical duties such as writing, proctoring, and grading exams, building homework assignments, and bridging communication between 8 other teaching assistants, the professors, and students. The course infrastructure is built on multiple learning software tools such as Datahub (a personal cloud computing platform with individualized servers for each student), Gradescope (an assignment/quiz/exam submission platform), and Otter-Grader/Ottr (an auto-grading software with instant feedback for student submissions), all of which I was responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting PH142-related issues. I also had the privilege of leading discussion sections of ~20 students, developing slides and review material to supplement main lecture content. Supplemental materials include interactive R Shiny applications for concepts such as inference and probability. Professors Corinne Riddell, PhD and Mi-suk Kang Dufour, PhD
