I Monitored patients’ vital signs, analyzed heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors, and made note of irregular rhythms and changes in heartbeat. Alerted nursing staff of critical changes. Managed paper work of units. Kept records on the patients and organized and facilitated transfers of patients in expeditious manner. Acted as receptionist for the Intensive Care and Critical Care wards. In addition to regular duties, significant and relevant accomplishments include: Diligent adherence to positional procedures prevented loss of life on multiple occasions. Point of contact between critical care nursing staff and physicians with other departments within the hospital and other external facilities. Transcribed orders into hospital database and communicated orders over the telephone and paging service. Provided all of the above services simultaneously in a high-stress and high- tempo environment. Recognized by managerial and executive staff for independent research analysis regarding patient demographics; research found that many patients admitted to the Critical Care Units could have gone to less critical units, thereby freeing up more beds in the ward.

I worked in the Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) Section with focus on renewable energy production projects. My primary responsibility was to review conservation project applications and renewable energy project applications for eligibility of tax credit subsidy. Collected and analyzed data for market research. Evaluated Oregon Administrative Rules and recommended suggestions for improvement to those rules. In addition to these normal professional duties significant and relevant accomplishments include: Regularly used technology for state government: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, FoxPro Database, multi-line telephones, digital projectors, etc.. Created and edited spreadsheet tools to streamline the applicant reviewing process for renewable energy projects, thus increasing weekly case throughput from seven up to fifty. Conducted market research and mined/queried databases in order to provide accurate information to policy analysts who, in turn, used this information to draft proposed legislation for lawmakers. Established meetings with applicants to address their concerns over problems with local and other state agencies in conjunction with the applicants' proposed projects. Coordinated and cooperated with other Energy Analysts to successfully assess the financial, legal, and technical aspects of applicants’ projects.
