Organized, inventoried, and maintained cleanliness of athletic training room each day Facilitated minor treatments for players including ice baths and wraps, warm whirlpool baths, and rehabilitation programs for players on the disabled list. Learned proper technique and performed treatments including e-stim, ultrasound, combination, and various massages. Observed major treatments including manual therapy for the elbow and shoulder, active stretches, kinesio taping, and treatments for head injuries, open wounds, and broken and dislocated fingers. Learned and observed the use of various special tests for numerous body parts. Conducted and wrote literature review on “The Efficacy of Kinesio Tape.” Observed in-game injury treatment of both minor and severe injuries as well as in game player hydration management.

Aided Physical Therapists, Doctors of Physical Therapy, and Physical Therapy Assistants performing sports rehabilitation and general population physical therapy for over 230 hours. Examined published sports recovery protocols for common injuries including the Moon ACL Rehabilitation Guidelines. Created, organized, and catalogued over 100 new exercise handouts (pictures and explanations) for patients into the Cleveland Clinic exercise handout database. Critiqued research findings while participating in staff meetings focused on analyzing and discussing recent studies. Received hands-on training in new therapy techniques during staff continuing education sessions techniques. Observed rotator cuff repair and knee scope surgeries in the operating room.
