Application Support Analyst

• Application Support: Provide application support for the following applications in Heirs oil and Gas; Assurance Information Management System(AIMS):Events Management, Task Progress and Monitoring, Outlook Calenda Management, and Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions Management, Integrated Activity Planning(iPlan) for business plan cycle. • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Responsible for investigating and resolving technical issues and incidents related to the software applications. Also, analyze problems reported by users, identify the root causes, and work towards implementing appropriate solutions or workarounds. • User Assistance and Training: Provide assistance to users by answering their queries, offering guidance on software functionality, and addressing user-related issues. Also, conduct training sessions or create documentation to help users understand and effectively utilize the applications. • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance of software applications and ensures their availability and reliability. Use monitoring tools to identify and address any potential issues, such as performance bottlenecks or system errors. Also perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and configuration management. • Incident Management: Managing and coordinating the incident response process by prioritizing incidents, communicating with stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring timely resolution while adhering to predefined service level agreements (SLAs). • Change Management: Implement updates, enhancements, or modifications to software applications. Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to plan, test, and deploy changes, ensuring minimal disruption to users and the overall system. • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various stakeholders, including developers, system administrators, business analysts, and end-users. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among these groups, acting as a bridge to gather requirements, relay feedback, and ensure smooth interaction between technical and non-technical teams. • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain documentation related to software applications, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and known issues. Also contribute knowledge to management efforts by capturing lessons learned, creating knowledge bases, and sharing best practices to improve support efficiency and reduce repetitive incidents. • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve support processes to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction. Collect and analyze data on incident trends, user feedback, and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
