Human Resources Officer

Human Resources Office/Project Manager (S1) in the Adjutant Generals' Corps. I’ve had the distinct pleasure of working with senior military leaders and peers creating plans using and informing the Military Decision Making Process, that provided subordinate units their operating orders. We were an administration charged with managing the career life cycle and essential personnel actions such as, accountability, recruitment, promotion, pay, awards, transitions, postal operations, placement. performance evaluations, and more, for thousands of Soldiers, DA Civilians, and Contractors assigned beneath our commanding unit, from the time they enter our front door, to the time they exit it; be in retirement or reassignment. This role was data heavy and covered an immense amounts of ground and responsibilities stemming from database creation and management of large datasets and systems. In this role, I volunteered to become my unit’s Safety Officer, Radiation Safety Officer, and Equal Opportunity Leader, all as part of additional duties to my primary role.

G4S | Nov 2015 - Mar 2020

Security Project Manager

I propelled a major million dollar/year project for my company where I supervised security activity and managed stakeholder engagement for six different hospital sites headquartered from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. My work was IT and physical security solutions in the healthcare industry that involved tracking time and attendance and labor scheduling payroll for approximately 50 personnel. I also serve as my sites’ Safety Manager, delivering monthly safety briefings and emergency response plans to all my assigned employees. Twice weekly, I produce very deep and comprehensive financial and "significant activities" data reports that provided great insights into hospital revenues to my client. My data provided the decision-makers accurate real time information that enable financial and strategic decisions; including the funding of projects I proposed. One tech upgrade project I completed, greatly improved my client’s cash flow efficiency, cash accountability, and overall revenue by approximately $30k/month. I trained groups and individuals on the new technologies I implemented.

Pinnacle Entertainment | May 2012 - Jul 2013

Casino Dealer

Gaming Professional, re-honed key soft skills, such as listening, and speaking. Computed fast and accurate mental math before live audiences while entertaining them with a warm and welcoming personality and lively conversation. Became proficient in Blackjack, Pitch Blackjack (single and double deck), Baccarat, and Poker Carnival games such as Hold 'Em. Because of this role, I have a ton of confidence in my ability to quickly learn and master anything I decide to do. I operated independently, but also as part of a large team, contributing in securing approximately $285k in tips per pay period. Precursor to MBA.

Army National Guard | Oct 2003 - Feb 2013

Infantry Officer

Infantry Officer, Explosives Engineer Soldier I held this role while in college Developed into the confident and charismatic leader I still am today. I learned what it meant to be able to stand before others and look like, be like, and sound like a leader; which to me, at its core, is taking care of the mission first, but taking care of people always. I learned why knowing the job and aligning goals with the boss was so important. I learned to be ethical, moral, and move with integrity. I learned to be competent, capable, and ready when asked, "Sir, what should we do?" or "What do you recommend?" Previous to this role, I was a demolitions engineer for about three years that rigged explosives like C4 and landmines. This was a highly dangerous and technical role I'd held since 18 years of age.
