Provide data collection, validation, management, and analysis consulting to defense acquisition and logistics clients. Leverage programming in R to analyze the bill of materials (BOMs) of several Army platforms with the objective to find hazardous materials. Develop automated scripts and custom functions to speed up the data analysis process. Create a SQL-based relational database (SQLite) to manage and organize analysis results. This database is used to feed a text mining, machine learning tool. Write SQL scripts to maintain, update, and analyze a database. Present analysis results through the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, data visualizations, and RMarkdown reports. Lead data analysis teams by delegating appropriate work loads, providing context for meetings, and maintaining an open line of communication for questions.

Operations Research Analyst

Developed data-driven cost estimates that informed acquisition decisions, populated presidential budget submissions, and provided funding justifications. Maintained and updated a self-made Excel cost model that forecasts the cost requirements for the production of Bradley A4s. This model is the basis for the Bradley A4 Acquisition Program Baseline, and the estimates submitted for President Budget Requests. In addition, this model is used in analyses of alternatives, and “what-if” drills. Collaborated with engineers, contracting specialists, logisticians, budget analysts, and EVM analysts to find and analyze reliable cost data. Cleaned and merged multiple Earned Value Management (EVM) data sets for System Technical Support (STS) contracts, conducted an exploratory data analysis, and projected the future requirements of the follow-on contract. Used R and excel pivot tables to analyze Operating and Support Management Information System data for the Bradley A3. This analysis produced cost metrics that will be used for the Bradley A3 Operational Sustainment Review (OSR). Collaboratively developed the Bradley A3 Cost Analysis Requirements Document by collecting and consolidating Bradley A3 program data into one Excel file. This file will be used by ODASA-CE for their Independent Cost Estimate for the OSR. Developed a PowerPoint slide presentation and co-led a brief to the Project Manager of MAV on the potential cost savings for the procurement of engines and transmissions as Government Furbished Material. Worked with the Self-Propelled Howitzer System (SPHS) cost team to develop, update, validate, present, and defend ACEIT cost estimates for the Cost Review Board (CRB) in support of a decision for Full-Rate of Production at ODASA-CE. Developed a BOM analysis tool using R to automate its data validation. Analyzed four years of cost analyst productivity data (WPR) through the use of R. It provided descriptive statistics and trends on cost analysis work products.
