SENS Research Foundation | Jul 2022 - Present

Staff Scientist

• Lead a project focused on cellular senescence and novel senolytic drug identification. • Characterization of cell surface proteins by applying live cell immunofluorescence and flow cytometry. • Successfully designed a novel strategy for live senescent cell isolation using MACS and MACSQuant Tyto cell sorter. • Experienced in primary human cells, multiple cytotoxicity assays, mechanism of drug action and role of iron metabolism in aging. Drug re-purposing and synergy prediction for healthy lifespan extension in C. elegans. Deconstructing longevity pathways: Drug cocktail for healthy lifespan extension Drug synergy slows ageing and improves healthspan through IGF and SREBP lipid signaling • In vivo: Test an iron activated drug I identified based on in vitro assays in in vivo model of mice. • Lead a project on immunosurveillance of senescent cells. • Isolation and maintenance of PBMC, isolation (MACS based and Tyto cell sorter based) and characterization (10+ color flow cytometry) of  T cells and NK cells from multiple donors. • Coculture and cytotoxicity assay and investigating mechanism of  T cells and NK cells cytotoxicity. • Isolation and maintenance of splenocytes from mice. • Mentor newly hired employees and give guidance and supervision to students. • Published articles in top-tier peer-reviewed journals. • Quarterly and yearly progress reports, managing grants, and presenting at local and international conferences.

and develop further research studies. • Identifying resources and instruments from the Buck Institute to implement on projects that I run at SENS Foundation • Respond to requests from external funders preparing proposals and completing quarterly and yearly grant reports. • Present at professional meetings, and scientific reporting for publications. • Visit multiple universities to train in advanced scientific developments. • Write grant proposals to obtain funding from private and government agencies. • Published over 10 research studies in top-tier peer-reviewed journals. • Present the progress report and be involved in weekly meetings.

SENS Research Foundation | Jul 2019 - Jul 2022

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

• Lead a project focused on cellular senescence and novel senolytic drug identification. • Characterization of multiple types of senescent cells by applying RT-qPCR, immunofluorescence and plate-based assays for cytokines and chemokines • Characterization of cell surface proteins by applying live cell immunofluorescence and flow cytometry. • Experienced in primary human cells, multiple cytotoxicity assays, mechanism of drug action and role of iron metabolism in aging. • Preparation of cells for RNA-Seq and single-cell analysis • Quarterly and yearly progress reports, managing grants, and presenting at local and international conferences.
