Time Domain Random Walk method to simulate solute transport in porous media including a single fracture This project involves conducting numerical simulations of solute transport in porous media, considering a single fracture using the stochastic approach called Time Domain Random Walk (TDRW). The objective is to investigate different transport mechanisms within the system. This includes examining the mobile domain (the fracture) where transport is controlled by advection and diffusion, as well as the immobile domain (the porous matrix) where transport occurs through diffusion. The tasks within the project include: - Performing numerical simulations of mass transfer in porous media for various porosity distributions with increasing complexity. - Extracting parameters and determining statistical distributions, specifically probability density functions. - Analyzing the exchange processes between the immobile and mobile zones of the system.

Waterflooding implementation and production forecast elaboration The project's objective is to assess the effectiveness of a waterflooding process in a depleted reservoir undergoing primary production. To achieve this, a reservoir model was created using Mbal software, and multiple intervention scenarios were simulated to identify an efficient program for enhancing the recovery factor. The tasks within the project include: -Matching production and pressure history data. -Utilizing Mbal software to estimate the original oil in place. -Evaluating water injection by implementing a water injector well with various parameters such as injectivity index and bottomhole flowing pressure (BHFP). -Conducting production forecasting through Mbal simulations and screening different production profiles based on various well inputs, such as injectivity index (II) and productivity index (PI).
