Inclusion Assistant - Seasonal

In my position as an Inclusion assistant, I worked 1-to-1 with children who have disabilities or behavioral challenges. My main tasks were to assist the child with peer interactions, self- regulation, communication and mobility. I have worked with a variety of children who have specific sensory needs and de- escalation techniques which are implemented when they start to get upset or act out. I enjoy supporting and teaching these children new techniques and coping strategies which allowed them to feel included and empowered.
