Where I've interned and worked during my career.

UC Davis | Apr 2016 - Dec 2021

Graduate Student Researcher

Published a paper that analyzed plant developmental traits involving tens of thousands of plants. Manipulated and worked with plant genotype data containing at most tens of millions lines of data. Discovered novel results associated with variation in plant responses to the environment. Developed an original mathematical model for analyzing time-series data that performed 30% better for ROC curves in simulations than other published methods.

Graduate Student Teaching Assistant

Led sections in R programming and statistical analyses for classes with over 80 students. Graded and maintained a database of quizzes and exams. Taught students 1-on-1 during office hours and in group settings during discussions. Mentored students in experimental design.

UC Davis | Apr 2014 - Aug 2015

Jr. Specialist

Worked with a high-throughput platform to photograph plant area using 100+ cameras. Self-learned the R programming language to perform statistical analyses on thousands of plants and hundreds of genetic markers. Initiated, maintained, and coordinated experiments dealing with thousands of plants each. Collected and entered data on plant traits, which at peak times involved processing data for ~10-14+ hours.
