Data Analyst

Supervised several data projects from development of survey or focus group through cleaning and analysis. Developed reports and presentations based on data results for executive leadership, stakeholders and various departments to present recommendations for data informed decision making. • Managing the DEI and Anti-Racist training for all college employees with 80% completion by spring 2023. Track training data through a pre-and post-survey and summarize analysis in quarterly reports to meet compliance requirements. • Designed and implemented a campus-wide survey to 1,300 employees and received 328 responses for the WA State law: SB 5227 and the $90k grant. Analyzed and visualized data in Excel, created a report and presented findings to various campus stakeholders to inform the creation of DEI and anti-Racist training to meet the WA state law requirement for employees starting Fall 2023. • Analyzed 597 responses for a 39-question survey for the $2.25 million dollar Federal Title III eLearning Grant in Excel and Dedoose. Results informed employee professional development and the development of 7 fully online degree and certificate programs. • Analyzed 10 focus group interviews resulting in 200 pages of transcript in Dedoose as the lead analyst for The Student Voices Project. Resulted in college-wide program and policy changes across campus to better support student success and retention from admissions to graduation which will result in increased revenue.

Communication Faculty/Department Chair

• Managed the department through collaborative leadership, mentoring, diverse hiring practices, and data analysis. o Utilized program management skills to create 35-50% growth in enrollment and course offerings resulting in an estimated $240,000 additional revenue. o Maintained 33% growth during 2021 Covid school year while enrollment was down statewide. • Developed the yearly schedule with equitable allocation of hiring faculty, while meeting student demand. • Implemented department projects by identifying gaps, growth opportunities, and marketing strategies. • Served on multiple committees and other college-wide projects to enact systematic change focused on equity. o Co-authored a best practices proposal for equitable hiring of contract faculty that was successfully implemented on campus and impacted 430 part time faculty. o Collaborated in the creation of internal communication policies and procedures applying to 1,340+ college employees. • Manage 300-420 students a year. • Employed inclusive teaching and universal design curriculum development of grounded, online and hybrid modalities. • Developed three new fully online formats and one completely new course on Media Studies. • Facilitated student advising, utilizing student development strategies impacting 30+ students a year.
