Data Scientist | Development Team Lead

As an IT instructor at New Horizons, I took the opportunity to train myself as a data scientist while also leading a team of programmers teaching students, individuals, and companies how to code and use Microsoft suite. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I am proud of what I accomplished during my time there. In terms of data science, I spent countless hours outside of work studying and practicing various techniques and tools. I read books and online resources, participated in online courses, and worked on personal projects to hone my skills. I also attended conferences and workshops to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the field. In my role as a tech instructor, I was responsible for leading a team of programmers and delivering top-quality instruction on programming and Microsoft suite applications. I collaborated with other instructors to develop the curriculum, delivered lectures and hands-on training sessions, and provided one-on-one coaching and mentorship to students. With New Horizons, I achieved several notable accomplishments. I led the development of a new training program focused on data science and machine learning, which quickly became one of the most popular courses offered by the company. I also received several awards for my outstanding performance as an instructor, including the "Instructor of the Year" award in 2021. Furthermore, I helped numerous students achieve their goals and advance their careers in tech. Many of my former students have gone on to work at top companies and organizations, and I am proud to have played a role in their success. Overall, my experience at New Horizons was incredibly valuable, both in terms of my own professional development as a data scientist and my ability to teach and inspire others in the field of technology. I am excited to continue building on these experiences as I take on new challenges and opportunities in the future.

Director Of Development

As the Director of Development for a school, I was responsible for overseeing all fundraising and development efforts for the institution. This was a challenging yet rewarding role, and I am proud of what I accomplished during my time there. In this position, I worked closely with the school's leadership team to develop and implement fundraising strategies that aligned with the school's mission and values. I collaborated with the board of trustees and other key stakeholders to set fundraising goals and priorities, and I was responsible for managing all aspects of the school's development program. My day-to-day responsibilities included managing a team of development professionals, overseeing donor relations, and organizing fundraising events and campaigns. I also spent a significant amount of time cultivating relationships with donors and alumni, securing major gifts and grants, and managing the school's endowment fund. Throughout my tenure as Director of Development, I achieved several notable accomplishments. I successfully led a major capital campaign that raised millions of dollars in support of the school's strategic priorities. I also implemented a new donor recognition program that enhanced engagement and recognition for our most generous supporters. In addition, I worked closely with the admissions team to develop new strategies for engaging prospective families and donors, resulting in increased enrollment and fundraising support. Overall, my experience as Director of Development for a school taught me the importance of building strong relationships with donors and stakeholders, and the critical role that fundraising plays in supporting an institution's mission and vision. I am proud to have contributed to the success of the school and to have played a role in enhancing its impact in the community.

Avid Tutor

As a web developer instructor for students, I was responsible for teaching students how to design and develop websites, applications, and other digital products. This was a challenging yet fulfilling role, and I am proud of what I accomplished during my time there. My day-to-day responsibilities included developing and delivering instructional content, working with students to develop their coding skills, and providing guidance and support on individual projects. I also collaborated with other instructors to develop new curriculum and ensure that the course material was relevant and up-to-date. Throughout my tenure as a web developer instructor, I achieved several notable accomplishments. I designed and implemented a new program to teach web development to beginners, which quickly became one of the most popular courses offered by the institution. I also received positive feedback from students and colleagues, who praised my teaching style and ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand modules. In addition, I helped numerous students achieve their goals and advance their careers in web development. Many of my former students have gone on to work at top tech companies, launch their own startups, and contribute to open- source projects, and I am proud to have played a role in their success. Overall, my experience as a web developer instructor taught me the importance of engaging with students, being patient and empathetic, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field. I am proud to have contributed to the growth and success of my students and the institution as a whole.

moore shelter design and build | May 2015 - May 2016

Junior Engineer

As a site engineer with Moore Design Build, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and challenging construction projects. This was a rewarding role that allowed me to leverage my engineering skills and experience to make a real impact in the field. My day-to-day responsibilities included overseeing construction projects from start to finish, and working closely with project managers and subcontractors to ensure that each project was completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. I also worked with architects and other design professionals to develop plans and specifications that met client needs and regulatory requirements. Throughout my tenure as a site engineer, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects, including commercial buildings, residential properties, and community facilities. I took pride in delivering projects that not only met client expectations but also exceeded them. In addition, I collaborated with colleagues to develop new processes and procedures that improved project efficiency and quality. I also maintained strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory officials, which helped to build trust and ensure successful project outcomes. Overall, my experience as a site engineer with Moore Design Build taught me the importance of attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence. I am proud to have contributed to the success of the projects I worked on and to have been a part of a talented and dedicated team of professionals.
