Data Scientist

Intuety is a multi-award winning startup company developing AI-powered risk assessment software for the construction industry. I am part of a small development team working in Python to build cutting-edge AI products. I maintain and develop the software backend, and use NLP/NLU and Machine Learning models to create new products and drive improvement. • Greenfield classification modelling for product development • Graph database design and implementation (Gremlin/Python) • Data engineering, analytics, and dashboarding (Plotly/Dash) • Transformer models (HuggingFace models inc. Data Scientist - Credit Risk

Worked extensively in R, focussing on House Price Indexing and Interest Rate modelling for the UK's leading second-charge mortgage lender. IR modelling: • Developed interest rate modelling tool for mortgage loan books in accordance with IFRS principles, utilising multiple Big Datasets. • Unified codebases of merging companies (Optimum Credit and Pepper Money) to reduce total code in production by 30%. • Optimised coding and effective resource allocation brought modelling runtime down from ~2.5 hours to <60 minutes. • Developed this modelling tool into an R package, enabled Git version control (Azure DevOps), and wrote documentation for the internal Wiki. This removed a significant bottleneck and empowered multiple internal stakeholders to run loan models for themselves. • Presented a "Masterclass" to provide a blueprint for replicating this process throughout the company. Ad-hoc tasks: • Data gathering, cleaning, engineering, and analysis • Data visualisation and report generation (R/Latex) • Automation of tasks/reports via Linux server • Presentations to internal and external stakeholders

Masters Thesis / Tech Founder

• Data Science and Finance research on novel methods of pharmacy business valuation • Developed my research into GreenPen.co.uk, a data-driven business analysis and valuation tool GreenPen enables pharmacy owners to monitor their pharmacy's performance, presenting key performance indicators in an easy-to-digest format. GreenPen also ingests publicly available pharmacy and economic data. A bespoke algorithm crunches this data to determine the Goodwill value of any community pharmacy in Britain. The estimates produced have been shown to be more accurate than the prevailing accounting estimates that use Turnover- or EBITDA-multiples. Founder

Find A Pharmacist was an innovative web platform built to help revolutionise Pharmacy locum recruitment. Before launching, locum recruitment for pharmacies was typically done via phone call or text, where a pharmacy manager would contact known locums in the local area. However, this process was very time consuming and clearly needed a 21st century update. Additionally, where a vacancy could not be filled, pharmacies would have to turn to specialist locum agencies, where fees were inevitably very high. Find A Pharmacist stepped in as the primary disruptive platform in this area. Whilst existing agencies were gradually shifting to using websites, they still operated under the same high fee model. Find A Pharmacist provided a simple, fully-automated platform to directly connect pharmacists with pharmacies and could therefore charge much lower fees. Despite its growing popularity, Find A Pharmacist closed in 2014, but helped blaze a trail in the pharmacy locum sector. Since then, several platforms have emerged providing a similar service and have helped to reduce fees and improve the experience of pharmacy locum recruitment.
