Walmart USA Advanced Software Engineering Virtual Experience Program on Forage

Completed the Advanced Software Engineering Job Simulation where I solved difficult technical projects for a variety of teams at Walmart. Developed a novel version of a heap data structure in Java for Walmart’s shipping department, showcasing strong problem-solving and algorithmic skills. Designed a UML class diagram for a data processor, considering different operating modes and database connections. Created an entity relationship diagram to design a new database accounting for all requirements provided by Walmart’s pet department.

Citi ICG Technology Software Development Job Simulation on Forage

I recently participated in a job simulation at Citi through the Forage platform, which provided valuable insight into working on a Technology Software Development team. During the simulation, I contributed to improving the loan management system and stock market risk reporting. I applied my skills in back-end development using FastAPI to create an API that fetches real-time financial data via the yfinance library. At the same time, I developed an interactive dashboard with Streamlit to visualize live stock price changes, leveraging my data visualization expertise. Additionally, I utilized Java to build an internal tool for credit risk assessment and created state diagrams and flowcharts to clarify business processes and system design. This experience confirmed my passion for combining technical skills— including APIs, machine learning, front-end and back-end development—with clear and effective written communication, to enhance internal processes.
