Use of SQL, Python, Tableau, and Periscope to identify fraud, monitor the performance of fraud detection rules and staff decisioning, and identify and implement improvements to increase precision while reducing customer friction using AWS and Google BigQuery databases. Documentation of analytical work and results. Creation of models to forecast the volume of chargebacks expected from fraud attacks. To build and utilise statistical models in Python to assess the quality of datasets used to improve fraud detection based through back-testing. Counter Fraud Technical Specialist / Data Analyst

Use of software packages and tools including, but not limited to, SQL, Base SAS, R, and Excel, to extract and clean data, produce reports, generate referrals, track, and improve data quality, report on operational performance, improve the referral strategy for Commercial Claims, track and validate the performance of our third-party suppliers, and ensure that members of the Performance Analytics team remain compliant with GDPR. To work with key members across the business, including travelling to other offices, to improve the strategy and performance of Counter Fraud Operation Teams. ● Working with key members across the business to create a data framework and collect evidence to ensure that CFPA’s access and usage of data remain GDPR-compliant. ● Full automation of the weekly Data Quality report in SAS, following a successful proposal to Operational Managers and Leadership for a culture change across Counter Fraud. ● Creation of a Control Pack using R and SAS as an early warning system. ● Creation of documentation for internal databases to recreate pages on ClaimsCenter. ● Creation of Commercial Tactical Referral Reports that have seen retention rates of 25% and above, compared to the industry standard referral tool with a retention rate of 3%. These reports generated approx. £500k of savings that were approx. 15% of the total savings of the Commercial Counter Fraud portfolio.
