Managed the day-to-day activities of the QC laboratory and communicated results of product testing with key stakeholders, including three separate departments and executives. - Developed and optimized new bioassay methods to streamline product testing process, resulting in 50% fewer re-tests and a 30% reduction in staff resourcing. - Generated a new database to store QC results to increase transparency from the QC department to key stakeholders resulting in over 90% reduction in data inquiry response time.

Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge - USFWS | Feb 2015 - Jul 2015

Invasive Species Intern

Assisted in monitoring and control of invasive plants and insects on the refuge. Species included: Tri-foliate Orange, McCartney Rose and the Red imported fire ant (RIFA). Experience with manual and chemical control methods for designated invasive species as well as using GIS to visual areas of concern on the refuge.

Vegetation Monitoring Intern

Assisted with monitoring long-term vegetation plots located inside NPS parks located within the Sonoran desert using established SODN protocols. Helped to establish similar plots for the Chihuahuan Desert Network, using SODN protocols. Gained hands-on experience with GPS, GIS and identification of numerous perennial and invasive annual species located in the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts
