Business Administrator

(ERP) system which enabled customers book collections and track their goods while on transit, this increased customer satisfaction by 50%. It also improved the business operational efficiency by reducing turn around times for routine tasks by over 60%. Created and shared customer invoices with customers from the reports of customers goods shipped. Coordinated with overseas offices by sharing customers details of the goods being transported this helped customers to collect their goods on time. Responded to all customer queries on time and with efficiency. Streamlined business processes for collection of goods from customer’s premises and coordinated drivers using transport allocation models on routes to use which reduced the business costs by 30%. Coordinated language translation for the business as most of its customers are from the East African region with my prowess in both the local languages from the region and English. This helped the company be able to reach out to most of its customers and the customers were satisfied and liked my assistance together with how I helped my colleagues learn the languages.

Software Backend Engineer Intern

Set up mobile phone-based money transfer services (MPESA, Airtel Money) APIs for customer payments into the Vend app using Python and SQL skills. This helped customers to pay for their orders via the mobile phone based money transfers which increased transactions volumes by 60%. Designed the front end of the Vend application using Figma, HTML and CSS which increased customer user experience

Unit Assistant

Developed a sales tracker dashboard using MS Excel which was getting reports from the company’s underwriting system. This helped the business achieve a 20% sales growth and automated the prior processes which were done manually. Led premium allocation process of unallocated premiums for prior periods which led to 20% of improvement in revenue recognition by the company. I liaised with the Treasury Departments and Premium Administrations Department to bank statements and premium debtors reports respectively and this halved the amount of unallocated premiums.

I got promoted to a Unit Assistant role which entailed coordinating all underwriters and sales agents in the company due to my outstanding performance at the branch. Spearheaded the team that redesigned the underwriting manual to better assess risks for the underwriting process recommended the addition of more questions to the applications forms which improved the quality of business underwritten and increased its gross profit commission of the company by 30%. • Improved customer retention and the amount of premiums on medical and motor insurance by sending out renewal notices on time to client and providing client with information about other company’s products. This led to overall growth of our branch premiums of both new and renewal business by 20% and 10% respectively.
