Lead Software QA Engineer

Founded QA department at company during transition from creating on-premise software products to a cloud-based, SaaS solution that allowed additional data integration options for nonprofit organizations. Worked with engineering leadership to establish quality standards for all stages the software development life cycle. Grew QA team to five full-time team members and assisted with the management of offshore QA resources when we contracted outside development teams for additional capacity. Implemented automated testing solutions for frontend (Cypress) and backend (Postman, Pact) services using Azure Pipelines. Led internal security testing efforts to ensure that our solution passed annual penetration tests to maintain SOC 2 compliance

Provide assistance with deliverables, participate in ad hoc data calls, attend meetings, and performing detailed work planning with the government lead at PMW 220 as well as local leadership at SPAWAR (SSC Atlantic).

ISQA Test Engineer

Developed and ran manual regression tests for Internal Software Quality Assurance (ISQA) team on Veteran Benefit Management System (VBMS) project. Planned, designed, wrote and executed acceptance test plans for new functionality based on the VA's Functional Line Item requirements. Served as the QA representative for the Defect Triage workflow on the VBMS project. Created custom reports in Cognos and Jazz Report Builder to improve tracking, efficiency and reporting of both the ISQA team and the overall VBMS project. Proposed and developed the first Requirements Traceability Matrix used on the VBMS project by utilizing the full capabilities of the Rational CLM Suite Wrote Selenium-based automation tests for to replace manual tests in the ISQA regression test plan.
