Project Planner & Technical Expert

Planning of development cooperation projects in the area of employment promotion in West Asia and Africa, and technical backstopping of projects on labour market and vocational education topics. Topic (co-)lead within GIZ's Competence Centre on Education, Vocational Education and Labour Markets on digitalization of labour markets and vocational education (labour market information systems!), future of work, and the measurement of employment evidence from a comparison with South Korea effects. Part of the team that conceptualized and coordinated the piloting of GIZ's Digital Tracing Solution, an IT solution for the tracing of projects' beneficiaries.

Establishment and capacitation of a national unit in the Ministry of Manpower of Egypt to coordinate a set of regional labour market observatories and develop labour market policy recommendations (e.g. on the future of work), coordination of several labour market studies, further development of project M&E systems, creation of a working group to backstop regional processes on the measurement of employment effects and impacts. In 2019, short stint in the German-Ethiopian Sustainable Training and Education Programme in Addis Ababa.
