Project: State Paralysis: The Impacts of Procurement Risk on Government Effectiveness Research assistance for profs. Diana Moreira (UC Davis) and Joana Naritomi (London School of Economics). The project studies the causes of underspending of municipal budgets in Brazil. My main activities as an RA involve coordinating a field experiment in partnership with CONASEMS (Council of municipal health secretaries), training and hiring enumerators to interview participants, assist in the elaboration of the survey.

Project: Labor Market General Equilibrium Effects of Conditional Cash Transfers. Research assistance for professors Rogerio Santarrosa (Insper) and Anderson Frey (University of Rochester). The objective was to estimate the long-term effects of Conditional Cash Transfer programs in Brazil. We’ve collected data on the recepients of Bolsa Família program from 2004-2019 and conducted analysis of its impacts on wages and number of workers using a Regression Discontinuity Design.

- Perform auditing tests on some areas of clients’ financial statements such as Cash and Cash Equivalents, Loans and others. - Learn about the client’s process in recording financial transactions, verify if the company has the necessary control procedures to ensure the financial stability and safety of the stakeholders. - Write “regularization letters” to banks and client’s suppliers in order to confirm the veracity of reported loans and purchases.

I am currently a Post-Doc at the Center for Public Health Research at Insper Institute in São Paulo, Brazil. I hold a PhD in Business Economics from Insper and a B.A. in Economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas in Brazil.
