• Conducted research on the role of miRNA and food on Type II Diabetes. Developed and customized a series of methods to develop in vivo diabetic model. • Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to design and execute experiments, ensuring adherence to research objectives and protocols. • Assisted in the preparation and submission of research papers, grants, and presentations. • Characterized microRNA and blueberry’s function in mouse pancreatic beta cells and diabetes pathogenesis with both in vitro and in vivo models. • Managed lab duties, including PCR, islet cell isolation, immunohistochemistry staining and imaging, reagent restocking, western blot, mouse colony management, cell line management, and electrophoresis. • Used scientific reasoning to evaluate, analyze, and interpret data to present a clear, well-organized, and scientifically sound study conclusion. • Assisted and trained more than 10 undergraduate, master, and PhD students.
