Northrop-Grumman | Aug 1998 - Jan 1999

Subcontract Engineer

Developed on the United Arab Emirates air defense project (EADGE). Lead engineer responsible for implementing an off-line application to translate collected real-time data streams into context relevant information display. Required utilizing the ASIS semantic interface to the Ada libraries for Rational Ada Development system. The subsystem, with ASIS, generated source code so as to be able to capture data object layout information. This object layout information was utilized to "walk the bits" and decode a previously saved bit pattern representing an Ada data object. This task required detailed understanding of the semantics of the entire Ada language and a thorough knowledge and use of the ASIS semantic interface. Keywords: ASIS, EADGE, Rational, Ada

DDC-I | Jan 1997 - Jun 1998

Subcontract Engineer

Responsible for design of major portion of Multi-Language/Multi-Host/Multi- Target debugger project; in support of company’s new Ada95 compiler, current Ada83 compiler and other vendor’s C/C++/Ada83/Ada95 compilers. Involved in design and implementation of following subsystems: Sequential Debugger (front-end user interface), Debugger Functions (main debugger dispatcher), Target, Target-Interface-Process, Debugger Symbols, Debugger Information. Led and trained team on design mehtodology used. Involved requirement by requirement analysis into subsystem global design responsibilities and collaborations. Responsible for majority of implementation of following functionality: breakpoints/tracepoints/tracing/stepping (source and machine)/ handling of run-time-events/debugger subprograms/call chain display/control structures. Responsible for maintenance of 200,000 SLOC of debugger (majority of product). Keywords: Compiler/debugger development, DDC-I

Honeywell Air Transport | Aug 1997 - Apr 1998

Subcontract Project Manager (Through CSS)

Responsible for testing of TOLD (Takeoff and Landing Data function) for the Citation X (CIT-X) project. Managed 4 testers responsible for on-site and off- site testing to DO 178B standards. Personnel were responsible for writing and execution of requirements-based tests on the target hardware. Personnel responsible for writing code coverage/ PC tests and running code coverage tool to ensure 100% code coverage. Managed budget, schedule and staffing of project. Honeywell Aerospace | Nov 1995 - Feb 1997

Lead Software Subcontractor

Lead engineer for development/integration EFIS (MFD Cockpit Displays ) function into baseline FMS (Flight Management System) for NZ2000 avionics suite for Falcon 2000 aircraft (target hardware was a Rockwell Collins MFD). Used ARINC 429/702 protocol. Tasks involved: manually translating SDP-175 assembly language and Pascal into C and reintegration with FMS (written in PLM/C) for 386 target. Testing, integration and task completed and delivered ahead of schedule. Product has helped the Honeywell FMS become the defacto standard FMS, replacing other competitor FMS/EFIS product lines. Also wrote the SRD/DDD/ requirements-based test cases. Lead technical engineer for integration of above product into another company’s FMS (Trimble in Austin,Texas). Worked with company to coordinate integration activities and to lend technical guidance. Developed the TOLD (Takeoff and landing display) function for CIT-X aircraft.
