Business Analyst

Developing initiatives to lower risk of Residential/SME bad debt held by EDF Energy. Involved developing ETL processes through to BI, producing forecasting models in Excel to construct business cases, and communication with stakeholders to get buy-in and support to deliver the initiatives. - Creation of Business Cases to demonstrate if strategies proposed by the business were worthy of pursual. Should the strategy be implemented, I would track the actual results vs forecast to report performance. - Developing scripts in QlikView and MySQL as an ETL process, converting raw data into refined data suitable for Excel reports / models, Business Cases and QlikView dashboards. - Producing Excel models to demonstrate business cases requested by stakeholders. The models flow logically with inputs tabs (such as the data from SQL), calculations tabs to convert inputs into output, and output tabs to provide a view in the form of metrics and useful insights. - Maintenance of legacy MS Access databases previously developed or inherited by the team, replacing these processes where possible with more optimised solutions. - Main projects revolved around Debt Targeting, where I produced and maintained a QlikView app and Excel model, tracking debt reduction at account, campaign and targeting agent levels.
