Useless Pride Records is a dynamic independent record label specializing in Metal-Hardcore music and fostering the growth of our diverse roster, which includes notable acts like Get The Shot, Alea Jacta Est, The Great Divide, Affenpinshers, and Real Deal. Advertising Management: Develop, implement, and optimize advertising campaigns on platforms such as Meta and Google, targeting potential listeners to maximize reach and engagement for our artists. Playlisting: Identify strategic placement for our artists on popular playlists across various streaming services, enhancing visibility and discovery. Pitching to DSPs: Cultivate relationships with Digital Service Providers (DSPs) to position our artists for consideration in official playlists and promotional opportunities. Marketing Technology Setup: Establish and maintain effective marketing tools and technologies that facilitate outreach, engagement, and data collection for both the label and its artists. Dashboard and Analytics Development: Build intuitive dashboards and analytics frameworks that track the performance of artists and campaigns, providing actionable insights to enhance growth strategies. My role at KROD Records, the independent record label which focuses on punk and rock music and boasts a diverse roster of over 45 artists and 100 releases, encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities pivotal to the label’s operational success. With an annual streaming figure of 3+ million, the position involves managing the administrative functions and ensuring efficient accounting practices to maintain financial health. My job includes preparing detailed accounting and sales reports for artists, facilitating transparency in earnings and sales performance. Additionally, inventory management is crucial, as the position oversees stock levels of vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and merchandise, while also handling the financing and production of these physical products. Distribution is twofold: it includes coordination with intermediaries for physical product distribution and managing digital distribution across all major streaming and download platforms. Artist promotion is a significant focus area, encompassing strategic outreach through social media, radio, press, video games, films, and playlists on streaming services to elevate artist visibility. Furthermore, from 2015 to 2017, the role involved booking concerts and tours, enhancing the live performance presence of artists. Advertising is another key aspect, with campaigns executed across platforms like Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, and Deezer, in addition to placements in both physical and digital magazines. The responsibility of managing artist pages on various platforms ensures that the online presence remains robust and engaging, fostering a dedicated fan base and driving success for both the label and its artists.
