Replay Operator

As a replay operator out of the San Francisco MLB office, I documented replay-specific data into spreadsheets, documented ballpark angles, monitored playback of replay video for analysis purposes and tracked live games for reviews. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I communicated over Zoom with replay administrators and staff in the New York City Replay Operations Center.

As a communications coordinator, I was involved in all aspects of publicizing the Pac-12’s 24-sport program and 12 member institutions; working full-time in a primarily remote capacity. I was actively the primary point of contact for women's soccer, women's swimming & diving, softball, lacrosse, rowing and gymnastics, while helping out with assignments for football, women's basketball, wrestling and cross country/track & field. I also served as director of media operations for multiple Pac-12 championship events, working alongside the sport management and operations departments.

I've also tutored middle school and high school math, teaching topics ranging from pre-algebra to calculus.

Cal Football Intern (Recruiting & Player Personnel)

After graduating from UC Berkeley, I transitioned into a role working with the football program. I assisted the director of player personnel with a variety of tasks, ranging from building point-of-attack tapes to delivering evaluations on high school prospects, helping position coaches recruit coveted student- athletes. During my season with the team, Cal achieved it's highest-rated recruiting class (No. 3 in the Pac-12) under head coach Justin Wilcox's tenure. Other colleagues included full-time recruiting analysts, the director of recruiting strategy and the director of on-campus recruiting.

The editor-in-chief oversees and manages all activities within the Daily Cal in both editorial content and business operations. During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I led the organization's handling of both financial and health decisions, and successfully helped transition the Spring 2020 staff into an all-virtual production setup.

As a beat reporter for the paper, I've written or contributed to more than 300 pieces, including previews, recaps, columns, creative articles and podcasts. Editorial Hiring Manager (Fall 2019)

In Fall of 2019, I led the professional recruitment of 18 editorial departments. I helped coordinate two information sessions throughout a three-week hiring cycle to effectively involve 15 editors and 300+ staff members. Other tasks included spearheading tabling efforts on Sproul Plaza, strengthening the publication's social media presence through a "Humans of Daily Cal" social campaign and general outreach strategies.

As a media relations assistant for the NFL's Oakland Raiders, I assisted in press box preparation and take down before and after games. When the teams were competing, I helped with stat distribution at the end of each quarter and overall organization of media relations. Finally, I transcribed player and coach interviews for media members and team post-game.

In Fall of 2018, I worked full-time as the manager of the sports section (30+ writers, 2 assistants, 28 varsity sports), the department's representative on the Senior Editorial Board, and also as a football beat writer and analyst. I facilitated weekly meetings and helped coordinate meetings with coaches, sports information directors, and student-athletes. My other responsibilities included publishing content on our website and social media platforms on a daily basis and leading paper distribution strategy on game days.

Product Management Intern

Prior to being purchased by Stats Perform, Thuuz was a Bay Area-based sports and technology startup revolutionizing the sports entertainment industry in partnership with NBC and Fox Sports among many others. As a summer product intern at Thuuz, I assisted with day-to-day product operations, performing quality analysis through Thuuz's customized highlight platform and generating teasers for the NBC Sports Scores app. I also worked with the analytics and engineering teams to fix bugs and issues that occurred on a daily basis. My favorite tasks included updating the company's website and working closely with managers to test the functionality of the Fox Sports FIFA World Cup Highlight Machine.

In Spring of 2018, I served as one of two assistant sports editors to the lead, producing and editing content for the Daily Californian's sports section. I published articles through the platform of Wordpress, designed the newspaper by utilizing Adobe InDesign and edited stories via Microsoft Office.

My younger brother Noah and I founded a youth sports camp when we were nine and eleven years old, respectively. With the help of our mother, we managed and ran camp for seven summers, teaching kids basic sports skills and preaching the importance of exercise.
