Policy and Data Analyst

I analyze data on NYC's taxi and for-hire vehicle industry to present up-to-date information on trips, vehicles, and stakeholders. I use R Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and Excel to identify trends in medallion ownership, trip volume across industry segments, and electric vehicle adoption, in addition to other ad hoc and long-term projects. I was a leader on the team that wrote and edited the TLC Factbook in 2020. In Excel, I have built up experience using data analysis and data cleansing techniques, including creating calculated fields, pivot tables, lookups, functions, formulas, graphs, and charts. In SQL Server Management Studio and R Studio, I have manipulated big data sets, including location data, fare data, and market share analysis using relational databases across different servers. I have turned the results of this data analysis and aggregation into reports, dashboards, and briefings for management, outside partners, and industry stakeholders.
