Application Support Analyst

Supporting the Rent Accounting Modules of the Aareon QL solution. Using SQL/SQL Profiler and my passion for troubleshooting and solving business problems to ensure positive outcomes for our customers. Working with customers on a daily basis to help implement system changes, resolve complex issues, and to provide advice and guidance. - Hit the ground running and immediately began to reduce the ticket backlog within my module (Rent Accounting) with minimal product training, all while maintaining high standards of support - Tailoring the service provided for each individual customer to build rapport and ensure positive outcomes. - Utilising SSMS and SQL Profiler to aid in identifying the root cause of incidents - Collaborating with developers to diagnose complex issues - Writing detailed User Stories, Bug reports, and Enhancement requests where necessary to improve the quality of our product - Developing and executing sophisticated SQL Queries and Stored Procedures to identify problems and perform data corrections - Serving as a key point of contact to both internal and external customers on software functionality

IT Business Systems Technician

- A key member of the four-person implementation team for the new CX housing management system. Tasked with completing the implementation within very short timescales due to the retiring of Contact Manager and Universal Housing. My contributions included configuring the system, reviewing business processes, and scripting for the data migration process using SQL & SSIS for data cleansing, mapping, and extraction. - As a Business Systems SME, I was responsible for maintaining the Universal Housing, Contact Manager, and ClusterCM systems. My responsibilities included managing user accounts, implementing configuration changes, building processes, data cleansing, and providing 3rd line application support to end users. - Led on the testing for the implementation of ClusterCM, a new case management system, working directly with our partner organisation to ensure the system met the needs of the business. This collaboration resulted in a solid, tailored foundation that could be developed over time with buy-in from other areas of the business. Due to the success of the go-live this system was later adopted by the Tenancy Support & Community Skills teams for their case management needs. - As part of the Victory to Flagship Group merger, I successfully migrated the Contact Manager & Universal Housing configuration, workflows, and documents to a new environment. This was essential in order to cut costs and create a central version across the group which allowed us to begin aligning business processes. - Provided support for in-house software through helpdesk query resolution, relieving the load on IT Business Partners and ensuring smooth operation of key business systems. - Developed CRM workflow processes from requirement capturing all the way through to user acceptance. This involved working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective and efficient workflows. - Created automated data cleansing tools with SQL for improved efficiency.

I was head-hunted into IT because of my ability to quickly learn new systems, as well as my reputation for problem-solving, attention to detail, and efficiency. I transitioned into IT while continuing my Apprenticeship and providing support to my previous team. Through a combination of self-exploration and shadowing colleagues, I gained a good understanding of the systems within our remit. In my role, I provided general administrative support to the team and assisted in the maintenance of the housing management system. I also played a key role in supporting process reviews and the implementation of new workflow processes. I was also responsible for resolving helpdesk queries relating to the housing management system and creating guidance notes for business processes carried out within it.
