▪ Developed a high-throughput pipeline capable of screening 300+ wild-type and novel microorganisms per year. ▪ Designed defined media and screened process parameters for hundreds of wild-type strains spanning over 50 unique genera, optimizing for viable biomass production, stability, and physical properties. ▪ Hired, trained, and managed a team of research associates, technicians, and interns. ▪ Managed projects plans, timelines, and communication with internal and external collaborators for multiple concurrent projects. ▪ Configured a relational database to consolidate and manage data from distinct data streams. ▪ Developed workflows using Python, R, and SQL to clean, transform, verify, and upload data. ▪ Created dashboards using Spotfire to streamline data analysis and communication. ▪ Promoted a culture of safety and organization as department lead for facilities management, equipment commissioning and maintenance, and implementation of Lean/5S methodologies. ▪ Acted as technical lead for cross-functional activities with R&D, QA, and regulatory departments for product development, product registration, and assay standardization projects. ▪ Developed assays using biochemical analyzers, flow cytometry, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, phase contrast microscopy, and HPLC to monitor primary and secondary metabolism of microbial cultures. ▪ Designed a pipeline to assess long-term stability of liquid intermediates and final products. ▪ Developed and wrote laboratory standard operating procedures during early- stage growth. ▪ Authored all microbial fermentation technology transfer protocols and supervised scale-up activities at contract manufacturing organizations.
