Teacher Coordinator - Reading

Coordinated British Council in France's Reading programme, providing access to English-language literature and opportunities to improve reading skills and participate in extracurricular reading-related activities for 3 different sections. - Coordinated the Reading Challenge programme, providing access to age- and level-appropriate English-language readers to all 2000+ Secondary and Bilingual learners in the British Council's 8 centres across Paris. - Organised stock and inventory of readers and reading-related pedagogical resources for Adults and Young Learners. - Compiled and coordinated orders of inclusive books to foreground diversity and inclusion in our selection of readers for Secondary, Bilingual and Adult learners. - Briefed and supported teachers on using readers and authentic literature to enhance language learning. - Organised and hosted Book Clubs for Lower and Upper Secondary students, providing teenage learners with an opportunity to meet monthly to discuss a handpicked selection of authentic works of fiction and non-fiction with a wide variety of themes, formats and genres and to develop their critical reading and thinking skills.
